“Washers” is a backyard game similar to horseshoes. The game is played with 4 people (2 teams of 2 persons) who attempt to toss washers (small round disks 2.5″ outside diameter, 1″ inside diameter) into a wood box placed on the ground 25 ft away. There are two ways to score points. 1 point is earned for getting the washer into the box and 3 points are awarded if you toss the washer into the center tube. The winning team is the first team to get 15 points.
Rules:
- 2 people per team
- Scoring: box = 1 pt. tube= 3pts.
- You must be 21 to drink
- All points count – no wash
- Boxes are 25ft apart between center tubes
- Feet must remain behind the front of the box
- NO leaners
- Play to 15 w/ 25 minute max per game
- Championship game- plays to 21 w/ no time limit
While clever trash talking is encouraged, it does not warrant extra points!
